Rod Grambeau, in charge of the summer IM program, announced yesterday that entries in indivi- dual and team tournaments are being accepted at the sports build.- ing in person or by phone all this week. FIRST BIG EVENT on the hot weather schedule is co-recreation night which will take place this Friday evening from 7 to 9:30 p.m. under the supervision of Coach Newt Loken. Co-rec nights will be held every Friday evening at the IM building for the rest of the summer. Organized play in softball, basketball and volleyball for teams, and individual tourna- ments in badminton, handball, paddleball, squash, tennis, and golf will begin after the Inde- pendence Day holiday. Howev- er, Grambeau emphasized the fact that the sports building will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Fri- day, and from 9:00 until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday for those stu- dents who want to avail them- selves of its extensive facilities before that time. Grambeau pointed out that summer session students and fa. culty are always welcome to work out at the TM Building regardless of whether they are signed up for organized activities. Besides equip- ment for engaging in the above- named sports, Grambeau said that weight-lifting, fencing and gym- nastics apparatus would be avail- able. THE IM SWIMMING pool will be open Monday through Friday from 2 to 5:30 p.m. for students, and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the same days for faculty mem- bers. Students who do not wish to participate in team play may con- tact Coach Loken who is in charge of all individual tournaments and sign up for the solo sports.
