Blythe Stason, of the Law School, declared Sun- day at the Presbyterian Church. Speaking on the topic, "How the World Looks to a Jurist," Dean Stason raised the question: which of the world's present legal sys- tems would be accepted for a world government? Either the Romanesque, the Slavic or the Anglican would be the selection, he asserted. These three, the most prominent of the seven sys- tems in current use, govern most of Europe including Russia, Eng- land and the whole of the west- ern hemisphere, Dean Stason ex- plained. The history of jurisprudence through the last sixty centuries is the story of the "struggle be- tween two conflicting forces, change and stability, Dean Stason said. He cited the formation of the Napoleonic code and theCon- stitution of the United States as events which ended an era of change and ushered in an era of stability. "Today we are again in an era of change," Dean Stason declared. The event ending this era will be the establishment of some type of international organization with police powers over all the na- tions of the world, he said. "We must diligently work toward this goal." Dean Stason was the fourth speaker in the series "How the Prices 25c until 5 p.m. 30c after 5 p.m. Wed. and Thurs. World Looks to the Profession." The concluding talk will be given by Dr. Bennet Weaver on "How the World Looks to a Man of Let- ters" Sunday, July 27. .:,:::.:;;.is:.:.::::.:.::::x::.:.si:i ...... THE L. G.
