The Tigers belted out 18 hits in their game against the Indians to win 21 to 6 and remain the only unbeat- en team in the League. Larry Saltis was the winning pitcher while Al Smith hurled for the losers. In the third League game, the Cur- riculum Workshop squad pounded Harold Smith of the Chemists for a 13 to 6 victory to give Bob Morning- star his first victory of the campaign. Today the six teams in the Naional circuit will battle it out for league leadership. The only teams which met Monday were the Pretzel Benders and the Physics squad but Ox Lodge, Faculty, Dark Horses and Cicero's Pugs are all reported ready for action. The Blitzkreigers will meet the In- dians, the Legal Eagles will play the Curriculum Workshop and the Tigers will face the Chemists tomorrow. Custer Plans Celebration FORT CUSTER, July 15.-()-A party Wednesday will inaugurate the first Fort Custer .birthday program for 150 soldiers having birthdays this month. Parties will be held each month for soldiers whose birthdays occur during that period. City Honors Gehrig NEW YORK, July 15.-(P)-A bill to name the plaza in front of the Bronx County Building Lou Gehrig Plaza, in memory of the former cap- tain and first baseman of the New York Yankees who died June 2, was passed unanimously today by the New York City Council. The plaza is in 161st Street, between Walton Avenue and the Grand Concourse, less than two blocks from Yankee Stadium. The bill does not become effective until signed by Mayor F. H. LaGuardia.
