exercise boy foi the horse at Inglewood, Calif.

ALL IN A DAY'S WORK-Dutifully, Flash exercises his friend,
Baranca, at the Inglewood, Calif., stables owned by R. J. Rossi, of San
Francisco. Rossi trained the dog, a 28-month-old German shepherd,
to lead the horse around stable area.

INSIDE DOPE ON CRANKSHAFT-Despite hesitancy of Henry
Ford to build Rolls-Royce plane motors for Britain, workmen at Foie
plant in Detroit speed up plans for mass production, even taking x-rays
of crankshafts (as above) and other machine parts. Ford has repeatedly
said that he will make airplanes on a mass production basis only for
the U. S. defense.
