Kinnick, Iowa Ace, Only Player To Receive More Than Million Votes CHICAGO, July 24.-(IP)-The na- tion's football fans paid eloquent tribute today to Southern California's great 1930 eleven by placing three Trojans in the starting lineup for the College All-Stars' game with the Green Bay Packers in Soldier Field Aug. 29. A total of 6,575,957 votes were cast in 47 states, determining the person- nel of the 72-player squiad for the annual charity spectacle between the college seniors of last fall and the pro champions. Nile Kinnick of Iowa, who spark- plugged the Hawkeye machine to 'dazzling heights, was the only play- er to poll more than a million votes, leading the halfbacks with 1,189,076 votes. The three Trojans accorded spots in the kickoff group were Bill Fisk, end, Harry Smith, guard, and quar- terback Ambrose Schindler. Yesterday's tornado halted two contests in which the Physics team was leading Chemistry 6 to 0 at the end of the third and the Buckeyes were beating the Super Dupers 11 to 2 in the second half of the fourth. In the only other game yesterday the Terrace Club won from the League Lugs on a forfeit.
