The program will include both team and individual play in tennis, squash, swimming, playground ball, golf, handball, horseshoes and other games adapted to mid-summer play for which there is a sufficient de- mand. In addition to these, there also will be a number of non-com- petitive physically beneficial and rec- reational activities. Facilities Offered The Board in Control of Physical Education has offered all the fa- cilities of Ferry Field, South Ferry Field, and the Intramural Sports Building for the use of Summer Ses- sion students. This makes avail- able about 50 acres of playground space, upon which are tennis courts, running tracks, and baseball dia- monds. Included among the advantages to be found indoors in the Intramural Building are 14 regulation handball courts, 13 regulation squash courts, a 35 by 75 foot swimming pool, a' boxing room, a wrestling room, and a fencing room. '38E, former commodore of the club. Both non-member and member rates will be extended for the Summer Session, he stated. The club headquarters will be at a cove on the south end of Whatmore Lake where the Dresent fleet owned by the club will be anchored. The fleet consists of three dinghies, one of which is privately owned but has been lent to the club, and a sloop. There will be instructions given to new members in sailing and in rac- ing, it was announced, and tentative plans are being made to schedule races during the summer. The races will probably take. place on Sundays for the convenience of clubaoembrs and will probably be open to the pub- lic. ERates will be $2 for regular mem- bers for the.Summer Session and $5 for non-member summer school stu- dents who wish to belong. This $5 will apply on the $10 entrance fee in case the individual decides to enter the club in the fall.
