Olsen, who is now the leader of a nationally known dance orchestra, regularly includes in his program for the evening a renditionofMichigan's marching song, and accompanies it with all the baton twirling that he learned 20 years ago, in front of him, behind him, under his leg, and over imaginary goal posts. Olsen's band leading personality, jovial, and interested in his audience, is the leader's natural character. A most approachable person, he seemed to be really glad to have the oppor- tunity to talk to a student from his alma mater. Olsen is a member of the Michigan chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma. Last fall he presented the Varsity Band with the University standards at a ceremony held at the Iowa football game. After he had led the Michigan band for the year 1913-14, with the aid of a broomstick painted yellow and blue, he formed a trio of sax, violin and traps, the next summer and went to BOX SCORES FIRST GAME Detr A Fox, rf ............
