Leather
Jackets

The leather
most popular

jacket is probably the
accessory among both

the boys and girls - nearly everybody
has one.
Leather is one of the most difficult
things to clean and should never be
trusted to an amateur. We guarantee
all our work, even leather jackets,
which must be carefully handled by
an expert to return color- softness.
These jackets are ideal for Fall and
Spring sportswear, field days, hikes,
bicycle riding - in fact, no wardrobe
is complete without one. Remember,
we guarantee all our leather jackets.
NOTE - In purchasing a leather
jacket be sure it is not horse hide.
While this leather is very durable it
cleans spotted which is no fault of the
cleaning but peculiar to that particu-
lar leather.

Sweaters
and
'TIES
Sweaters are a very popular acces-
sory, need cleaning very often, and
while simple to clean they may
easily be ruined by an amateur. To
insure a perfect job, it must be re-
blocked to the same measurements
as when new, not stretched out of
shape.
Neckties are all cleaned the same
as silk dresses and hand finished on
ndividual forms. All facings and
seams are resewed if necessary and
the edges are rolled the sane as
when new. Neckties should always
be untied when not in use.

- -BONDED
MICROCLEANING
WHAT IS MICROCLEAN?
The meaning is very simple - only this: "Clean even under a
microscope."
The process consists of adding a secret formula to the cleaning
solvent which in solution with solvent breaks into minute molecules
and passes through the weave of garments picking up any and all
soil, dust and foreign matter.
The MICROCLEAN process was brought forward as an advanced
step over the gasoline soap dry cleaning, even still used by many
cleaners, leaving at times an odor. This, however, is not a gasoline
odor as many think, but decayed animal fat soap which is impossible
to rinse out - thus, when worn and brought to body heat, gives off
a sweet unpleasant odor.
WHY USE BONDED CLEANING
These Nine Points Will Convince You:
i
1. Every article individually handled.
2. Absolutely no shrinkage.
3. Positively no odor.
4. Complete sterilization of all garments.
5. Clear, bright colors restored.
6. All work supervised by skilled employees.
7. All minor repairs made without extra charge.
8. Garments actually reshaped, not merely pressed.
9. Prompt service. Garments returned when promised.

F FURS
What Co-Ed Does Not
Have A Fur Coat To
Wear To The Football
Games On Crisp
Fall Days?
Probably this business of Furs is
one of the biggest gyp, racket busi-
nesses in existence. Do not mistake
this-there are wonderful straight-
forward, upright, honest Fur com-
panies and in purchasing fur or
fur-trimmed garments it will al-
ways pay to buy from a reputable
concern, one that not only knows
its business but will stand back of
its merchandise.
We do not sell furs. We do, how-
ever, clean furs, either dry cleaning
method or sawdust furriers method
(approved way). East coat is indi-
vidually handled, measured and
inspected both before and after
cleaning. The only Cold Storage
facilities in Ann Arbor are at
Greene's. Insurance against fire,
theft and moths is carried at all
times. You will not make any mis-
take in using this service. Be ready
for those fall football games.

A.WORD ABOUT THE CARE
[ WE GIVE YOUR DRESSES:
Velvets, Silks, Wools or Knits!
"L~et our judgment and experience be the guiding factor in the
care of your prized apparel whether you are dancing, sailing, golf-
ing, or horseback riding, all the diversions of midsummer and
early fall which make heavy inroads upon even the best ordered
wardrobe. And your apparel provides the most exacting test for
a Quality Cleaner, whose handiwork is always in unobtrusive evi-
dence where the best people congregate.
Inquire whether or not your Cleaner uses "MICROCLEAN," the
new scientific method of dry-cleaning. Soiled garments have a
tendency to rob modern fabrics of their color tones to frustrate the
charm of their design. By gently removing, often many times as
much dirt as old-fashioned methods, Microclean renews the origi-
nal lustre of delicate colors, brings back the beauty of intricate
patterns, increases resistance to resoiling.
But the benefits of Microclean are by no means restricted to
your nicest things, nor even to rougher garments for everyday or
knockabout use. Microclean works wonders with all kinds of,
fabrics and sends them back looking like new.
"Do you know that more than eight separate and distinct scien-
tific operations go into the cleaning and pressing of the average
garment brought into our plant?
Do you know that each garment is carefully examined for de-
fects before we allow it to be cleaned?
Do you know that laboratory tests show that frequent cleaning
of most garments prolongs their life?
Do you know that our experts are able to remove practically
every known stain, spot or discoloration without injury to the
fabrics?
Hundreds of people are already aware of these facts. And hun-
dreds are making use of our complete, trustworthy, scientific
service. If you are not one of them, step into our plant. Let one
of our experts show you exactly what happens to your garment
from the moment we receive it to the moment we return it to you
beautifully finished.
Summer dresses are thmnner and cannot absorb as much per-
spiration without showing it quicker. Such clothing must be
cleaned oftener to look right and to last through the season. Sum=
mer clothes should be cleaned before being put away for winter.
hanging in closets, soiled for two or three months gives perspira-
tion acids a long time in which to kill the life of the garment.
An outstanding feature of Greene's is a free eme'rgency spot
removing service for regular customers. A twenty-four hour service
is maintained with special same-day service when required.
We are fully equipped to block or clean and block only any
knitted garment to your measure. Our combination blocking unit

Hats Microcleaoed
Either Ladies' or Men's

September 2nd starts the felt hat season this fall. After this date
woe be unto any Freshman caught wearing a straw hat.
Felt hats vary in price anywhere from $2.00, $10.00 and up.
Good hats range from $4.00 and up. The big difficulty is that a
cheap hat is made froni wool which is very unsatisfactory as it
does not hold the block or shape well. A felt hat is made from
rabbit fur felted together; that is, pressed together.
Felt hats need cleaning and blocking the same and nearly as
often as suits to be kept looking well.
First the hat is measured for size (a hat one size too large or
small can be changed to fit) then thoroughly cleaned, not just
hand-brushed and the dirt spread around, next deodorized which
also fumigates killing all germs.
Next the chapeau is placed on a block the proper style and size
and machine blocked on exactly the same equipment as is usedby
leading hat manufacturers - same as Dobbs, Stetson, Mallory,
Each hat is again measured for size before packing in individual
boxes ready for delivery.
Badly faded or worn ribbons may be replaced at a very nominal
cost, also leather perspiration band. Rims may be narrowed to
change the style and bring an out-of-date hat to present-day style.
The 21,4-inch brim and 534-inch crown are very popular for fall.
We might also mention at this time that "Hanley Hall" is the
correct new college hat for fall.
Colors good for fall are light medium grey, tan and brown. We
ordinarily require from one day to the next for cleaning and block-
ing of hats, however, one-day service policy is extended on request.
