Turkey growers of Tehama.County,

heir flocks.

This amazing balancing act of an airplane's metal skeleton on
high tension wires followed a freak crash at Indianapolis. Two wo-
men passengers were burned and bruised when they jumped from the
blazing machine, but were not seriously injured.

Another picture of John J.
O'Connell, Jr., scion of the ruling
political clan of Albany, N. Y.,
taken about two weeks before he
was kidnaped. He is an officer in
an Albany company of the na-
tional guarrd.

The belief that John J. O'Connell, jr., 24, held under threat of
deatli for $250,000 ransom, was kidnaped in an act of revenge against
his uncles Daniel P. (left) and Edward J. O'Connell (right), leader of
upstate New York Democratic machine, was expressed by sources
close to the family.

umber Is Up'
After Colorful
Life Of Action
EUTAW, Ala., July 1,i.-(AP)-The
death of George Kotsonaros in a
prosaic automobile accident near
here closed a story-book career the
Greek wrestler pursued on the theory
that "when a man's number is up,
it's up."
Educated in Athens, Kotsonaros
fought in the Balkan War of 1912
against the Turks and saw comrades
fall on all sides.
"Don't worry," he would say, "when
a man's number is up, it's up."
It wasn't up for Kotsonaros in the
Balkan War and it wasfl't up when
he got caught in a street fight in
Cairo between Mohammedans and
Christians. He was wounded by the
Turks but recovered.
In his career in the ring and the
movies, Kotsonaros had his nose
smashed, was in many bad falls and
in an airplane crash-but his num-
ber wasn't up.
A wrestler couldn't fill a date in
Nashville, Tenn., this week and Kot-
sonaros substituted. He was driving
to New Orleans with John Paul
Jones, Texas wrestler, yesterday.
The car skidded in gravel and
overturned. Jones was seriously in-
jured. Kotsonaros, who police believe

went to sleep at the wheel, was kill-
ed.
His number was up.

ANYONE who has ever hJLIL"LILI/".-
tasted electric cook-
ing knows the tempting
lavorconservedinfoods,
the melting tenderness
of meats and vegetables
cooked in their own juices, the fluffy lightness of fine-
grained cakes and flaky pastry. Cooking on an electric
range is different from any other kind. And the secret
of its deliciousness is SEALED-IN FLAVOR. The prin-
ciple of the Dutch oven and the pressure cooker-cook.
ing foods with little water-is found too in the electric
range. Nourishing elements and important food values
are retained, instead of being lost in steam. A $10 initial
payment and small monthly payments places an Elec.
trochef in your kitchen, installed and, ready to cook.
