University R.O.T.C. Unit
Is Rated As "Excellent"
A rating of excellent was received
for the University Reserve Officers
Training Corps yesterday from Maj.-
Gen. Frank Parker, commanding offi-
cer of the sixth corps area,. as the,
result of the annual inspection of
the local unit made last May.
Announcement of the standing was
contained in a letter received by
President Alexander G. Ruthven. The
term "excellent" applies to all three'
branches of the batallion, infantry,
ordance, and signal corps.
This is the fifth successive year
that the local post has received the
highest rating by inspecting officers.
During that time Maj. Basil D. Ed-
wards has been the commanding offi-
cer here. He was recently transfer-
red to the office of the assistant-sec-
retary of war in Washington and
is succeeded by Maj. Frank Rogers,
who comes from the Army War Col-
lege to take over his duties.

Dr. Wm. Clark Trow, Professor of
Educational Psychology will speak on
"German Schools" at the afternoon
conference in education, Tuesday, at
4:10 in Room 1022 University High
School. The talk will be illustrated
with motion pictures rtaken by Dr.
Trow in Germany during his travel
there last summer.
