Va., first string tackle, and Claire Purdum, of Beaver, Pa. who won his letter at tackle in 1936, will be ineligible next fall. Tessmer was rated number one punter of the squad last fall until injuries forced him out of the game. Goldsmith saw considerable service as a substitute during the seasons of 1930 and 1931. Purdum was out of school last fall but earned his letter the year before and was counted on to fill one of the vacan- cies at tackle. Coach Ray Fisher of the baseball team announced that \Fred Hosler, of Huntington, Ind., freshman pit- cher, has been placed on the Univer- sity home list because of low grades. Fisher regarded Hosler as his best yearling prospect. WASHINGTON, July 6.-(AP)- Demanding currency expansion be- fore Congress adjourns, Senator Borah, Idaho independent Republi- can, today pressed his plans for ap- proval of legislation to achieve that end.
