Diploma Fees: Students expecting to complete during the current
Summer Session the requirements for degrees or for teacher's diplomas
are requested to call at the office of the Secretary of the School or
College in which they are enrolled and fill out the necessary blanks
preparatory to the payment of the fees to the University Treasurer.
Examination Schedule: All students in the Colleges of Literature,'
Science, and the Arts, Engineering and Architecture, and Pharmacy,
and In the Schools of Dentistry, Music, and Education who desire credit
for work done in the Summer Session will be required to pass examina-
tions at the close of the session according to the following schedule:

'They all got into the Wheatley car. I knew the boys, but not the
girls. Fred drove. One of the boys said: "Let us go and we won't re-
port you." I thought we were taking them out to dump them so we
would have time to wreck their car and get away. At Tuttle hill we
stopped. I got out and held a gun on all of them. The gun belonged
to Fred. He let me have it when he began to drive the car. Black-
stone also had a .38. Blackstone made Ann get out of the car, and
he attacked her while I held the gun over her."
He then decribed the shooting of the two couples on Tuttle hill.
Although shot, Lore got to his feet and attempted to fight. He was hit
over the head with a rock. Oliver said that the girl in the car was
not hit by the bullet, but that Blackstone later beat her to death
with a wrench.
"We were going to leave them on the ground," Oliver said. "Then
we decided to take them away. We drove back and got my car at the
grove, and I followed the car to Ypsilanti, and from there to Willis road."
Oliver said that he stopped to get gas in Ypsilanti at a station on
Michigan avenue. "I was afraid to go on, and I was afraid to go back.
They would have bumped me off," he said.
At the spot where the car was burned the death car pulled up on the
right, and Oliver stopped on the left side of the road. Oliver explainedr
the slipper which was found by investigators near the car by the fact
that Blackstone took the body of one of the girls from the car and
assaulted it before igniting the gasoline in the auto.
Blackstone and Smith also told the court simi'ar stories but left
out the rape details and many of the small particulars.
For nearly two hours after the sentence the police hesitated to
take the men from the Court House into the howling mob of more
than 10,000 people. The Negro, Blackstone, showed more fear than the
other two and at times huge drops of perspiration stood out on his
inky countenance. "I am ready to go down when the officers are," he
said.
All of the killers seemed to enjoy talking to the newspaper men and
women, particularly the women. They answered all questions, and at no
time showed any sympathy for those whom they had slain and cre-
mated.
The Court House was filled with newspaper men from all parts
of the country. Private lines were being held open by the press, and
several dozen camera men were on duty as the caravan of correspond-
ents strained at the finale of Michigan's greatest man hunt.
