" STRIBLING NEARLY READY FOR BATTLE Challenger Finishes His Heavy Training; May Spar With TrainersTonight. GEAUGA LAKE, O., June 29-(IP) -The polishing of Bill Stribling's left hand for 15 rounds of joust- ing against Max Schmeling's right in the Cleveland municipal stadi- um Friday night entered the final stages today. The southern challenger for the heavyweight throne may spar a bit with his training mates Tuesday night to keep rust from collecting on his punch and judgment of dis- tance but the heavy work of prep- aration for the night before the fourth celebration ended yester- day. The closer the struggle gets, the more complex are the problems of the critics who are striving to judge between the deftness and power of Stribling's left hand and the might of Schmeling's right, probably the shortest and heftiest punch in the entire heavyweight division. Re- gardless of the critics' opinions, however, the first wagers on the outcome of the title go have made Stribling and his left hand a 7 to 5 favorite.
