Flying over Lambert-St. Louis Field Wednesday, Miss Ingalls com- pleted 714 consecutive barrel rolls, 297 more than the previous men's record, which Dale Jackson held, and 647 more than the previous women's record, which Mrs. Betty Lund held. Five official observers watched Miss Ingalls' flight and counted the rolls. Taking the air at 3:50 p. m. A large number of the appli- cants were not registered in sum- mer school, or residing in Ann Ar- bor, and only 7 Jobs were unfilled by the department. The largest number of positions were for room and board, in private homes. Eleven women worked for room and board, 2 for room only, and 7 for board only. There were 8 odd jobs for cash, which included such work as filing, copying, and clerical work in the Library and Observatory. Eleven regular jobs for cash, that is, jobs which lasted all summer, were filled. These in- cluded 1 typing position, 2 child care positions, and 8 serving jobs. Considerable work has been done in regard to employment for the fall.
