Moira cP of , In' , 'FRESH AIR CAMP TO SEEK FUNDS: Again the University of Michigan Fresh Air Camp will make its ap- peal to the student body when ten- tative plans are completed for the: summer tag day which will prob- ably be held on campus Wednes- day, July 18. Summer students will! be asked to contribute to the fund which supports a fresh air camp for underprivileged children from! Detroit and vicinity. Nearly 450 boys enjoy the recre- ational privileges provided for them for 12 day periods through- out the eight weeks of operation. At the end of each period 108 boys take their places. Theodore Hornberger, of the rhetoric department, is director of the camp this summer and is as- sisted by a staff of University stu- dents and graduates.. Students of the winter session' this year oversubscribed their quo- ta so that the camp is subscribed to within $1200 of the full quota and it is expected that-the summer! tag day will complete this deficien- cy. The Fresh Air Camp is main-! tained through contributions of various individuals and through~ student support. It is one of' the activities of the Student Christian ! association. Visitors are allowed in the camp from ten to five on Thursdays and, Sundays and the camp will be glad to entertain any students who de- sire to inspect the. site.
