MEDICAL COLLEGE Dr. Wayne Rumsey of Newcastle; Pa., has been appointed resident phys- ician, assuming his duties July 1, and succeeding Dr. John L. Garvey, who becomes assistant professor of neurology in' the Medical school. Registration in the Medical school is now 221, five having withdrawn. The trustees of Dartmouth college voted that, beginning with the class of 1929, only the A.B. degree shall be given to graduates. White Honored By .Brown University The honorary degree of Doctor of Science was conferred upon Prof. Al- bert E. White, director of the de- partment of engineering research and professor in metallurgical engineer- ing, June 17, by Brown university. Professor White graduated from Brown university in 1907 and studied at Harvard also in 1908. He has taught in the engineering school here since 1911. During the war he serv- ed in the United States army as cap- tain and later as major. taProfessor White is at Atlantic City at present, attending a convention.
