2775 ENROLLED IN
TEXS SUMMER SCHOOL
Austin, Texas, July 16.-Records in
the office of the auditor, W. R. Long,
of the University of Texas, show that
2775 students have registered during
the first term of the summer session.
The enrollment in the regular sum-
mer school is larger than that of last
year, and especially is there a gain in
advanced wrok and in the graduate
school. There are approximately
three hundred graduate students in
the university at the present time,
and about 75 of them are candidates
for master's degrees to be conferred
at the summer commencement.
The second term of the suinmer
school will open on July 19, and pre-
parations are being ade for the re-
ception of new students at that time.
The Upper Peninsula meeting of the
Michigan Pioneer and Historical Soc-
iety, together with the Michigan Pion-
eer and Historical Society of School-
craft County will be held at Manisti-
que on July 24 and 25, the program
beginning on July 24, at 2 o'clock and
closing on the evening of July 25.
This is the ninth annual meeting of
the society.
