of the Toronto Insulin committee.
"Every diabetic child should have
the advantage offered by insulin treat-
ment at the very earliest time," the
report said. "The results wyhich have
been obtained by this treatment are
remarkable. The child must meta-
bolie food for growth as well as main-
tenance, and in the hospital here the
little patients are carefully examined
and their diets properly adjusted to
insulin."
The children of this state are indeed
fortunate ip having the unusual fac-
ilities of the University hospital pro-
vided for them. "No child within the
bounds of the state," said the report,
"needs go without the blessing that
has come to him through the discov-
ery of insulin."
Milan, July 25.-The death has oc-
curred here of Paolo Toscanini, moth-
er of the noted conductor of opera,
Arturo Toscanini.
