Works Of Art, May Be Found On Class Benches If you have a little time to spare and have no profitable way of spend- ing it, take a look at the works of art on some of the benches in the old campus buildings. There are many curious carvings and drawings1 of great interest. One bench in prticular seems to, have been popular. Among the note- worthy works of art is a drawing of an automobile, must be a 1904 model. The words under it are "Chandler", or Ford". See if you can guess which it is. On another bench is a fine col- lection of beautiful girlish portraits, some not so beautiful. Many Intials and Dates Still another out-standing feature is a severe lady wearing huge horn-rim- med glasses. There are highly-illum- inated initials and lates. Some oT7I these dates go as far back as '92, but these are rare. The initials include Michigan and fraternity emblems, the names of Columbia, Yale and other well-known collegesl appearing now and then. One could go on to tell of the names of students, many of whom have long since left their Alma Ma- ter; of the unintelligible sentences and football items, but-heck, go and1 see for yourself!
