I ___________________________________________________________- One of the bones ,discovered on Wednesday evening by workmen close to the Engineering Building, has now been identified as being the lower jaw-bone of a man. Russel C. Hts- sey, instructor in Geology, made an examination of this bone and stated that all evidence pointed to the ef- feet that it belonged to a modern man, young inyears, and powerful, As teeth are still on the bone and are such that could only have, been possessed by a strong man. /. The bone, is slightly discolored but there is much material matter still on it, and the odor, peculiar to com- paratively fresh. bones, is noticeable. Profes'sor Hussey is of the opinion that the bone can only have been buried a short time, ranging' from five to forty years. There is no evidence to show that any pre-historic remains have- been unearthed. The most ,like- ly theory is that some medical stu- dents burned the bones after carry- ing out experiments. University officials said yesterday that the bones will be given a decent burial with a minister in attendance, in the University lot in Forest Hill cemetery.
