TENNIS TOURNEY Entry lists' for the tennis tourna- ment to be held this summer at Ferry field are now open. Tennis tournaments are conducted every summer.' There are usually about 40 entries for the singles and 16 or 20 in the doubles. The money re- ceived from the entrance fees is used to obtain various prizes which are given to the wpiners. The prizes con- sist usually f some tennis article, such as a net, racket, or balls. LE Aj A UIi 1 1H L OPEN HOUSE TODAY "Open house" to all women of the University will be held from 4 to 5:30 o'clock this afternoon at Alumnae house, 1227 Washtenaw avenue. Tea will be served and an opportunity will be given the students of the Summer session to go through this dormitory, which is one of the smaller ones on the campus. The opening of this house in 1917 was the impetus for the growth of the dormitory idea at Michigan, it is stated. Mrs. T. E. Rankin and Mrs. Wilbur R. Humphreys will assist the resi- dents of Alumnae house as hostesses. This affair is the first of a series of parties which have been arranged by the Women's league for the women here this summer. Next Tuesday aft- ernoon one of the other dormitories will give a similar tea party.
