Get Lodal Merchants To Open Stores for Men's Shopping The annual Men's Night observ- ance in Ann Arbor will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, general chairman Ray Algue- seva said today. Men's Night is staged each year to cater to the men and allow them a full evening of shopping without coaching from their wives or girl friends. Although intended to be an eve- ning when the men could shop for Christmas presents for their mates or intended, Men's Night also has proven to be an ideal time for the men to come downtown and just browse around at their .leisure through the hunting, sporting, clothing and hardware stores. This one evening, of all ,the shopping season, is dedicated to the male, and althbugh some wom- en shoppers will be downtown, they will be the exception if the spirit of Men's Night' is carried out. It will be the menfolk that the clerks will be helping in their gift deci- sions. Algueseva stressed that men will find shopping for their women much simpler if they find out the necessary sizes before attempting to buy clothing. But if' the sizes are unknown, the men will find the women clerks sympathetic to their problem and will probably be able to help them find the right ones. On campus, five women's apparel stores will be open. All through the. town an air of * * PROGRAMS - Mass meeting of the Michigras Program Com- mittee at 7:15 p.m- today in, the Union.
