'U' To Give
TV Shows
University television will fea-
ture geologists and a folk singer in
two programs to be telecast on
WXYZ-TV this morning.
Prof. James T. Wilson and Prof.
James H. Zumberge of the geology
department will appear in a pro-
gram entitled "32 Degrees Fahren-
heit" on the. "Understanding Our
World" show at 9:15 a.m.
The unique features of the five
string banjo and the peculiar
"southern" style of playing it will
be sexplained by folk singer Ed
Banghart on "Accent: A Michigan
Report" at 8:30 a.m. over the same
station.
Tomorrow, students from the
Ann Arbor schools and their ad-
ministrators and faculty will dis-
cuss various aspects of the school
system and class work over
WPAG-TV.
Group To Host
Fund Winners
Twenty University freshmen,
winners of Michigan Alumni Fund
scholarships, will be honored at a
reception in Ingliss House today.
The twenty represent the third
group of scholarship recipients to
receive awards under the Annual
Investment in Michigan program.
The awards are given annually
to freshmen entering the Univer-
sity from out of state, and are re-
newable for the following three
years.
The program, sponsored by the
Development Council, provides
payment to the student of the dif-
ferential between costs for Michi-
gan residents and out-state stu-
dents.
