Club, which includes' a number of Uni- versity coeds, will swim Saturday against Michigan State University at East Lansing. From this group of 220 women, 25 will travel to the meet this weekend. The youngest members" of the group are two seven-year- olds - one of which is the daugh- ter of Rosemary (Mann) Dawson, club's coach. Fourteen events will. highlight. the match. The local club has en- tered two girls in each event. This will be the first competition this year for the organization. Sets:.Record hers of the club practice from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. weekdays at the Un- ion Pool. The team will wear red swim, suits similar to those worn by the United States Olympic team. pleasanter if you have a few rules on tipping etiquette in mind before you leave. Always Tip Let's tackle first those circum- stances in which you always tip: waiters, taxi drivers, Pullman port- ters, red caps and all hotel em- ployees, who perform any kind of personal service for you-doormen, bellboys, telegraph messengers, room service attendants and valets. Wherever a bill is involved, as in a restaurant, the customary amount is 15 per cent. Where no bill is involved, such as bellboys handling 'your luggage, 25' cents per item is a good rule to follow.' For taki drivers, the minimum tip is 10 cents on fares up to 50 cents,>'15 cents up to 85 cents, and when the fare hits 90 and up, 20 per cent of the total. 25 Per Cent Scale A 25 per cent tipping scale is a good rule in both beauty parlors and barber shops, while tips for Pullman porters are standardized at $1.50 to $2 for an overnight journey in a berth. Luckily for your wallet, there are some people who dOn't get tipped at all. These include airline hostesses, hospital noses and gas station attendants.. Tipping is not a standardized thing. It usually varies with the size of the city involved; the bigger the city, the bigger the tip. Just use your own inclination in decid- ing. A good way to solve the "should I?-shouldn't I?" tipping problem is this: If the person is simply doing his job, no tip is necessary. However, if he goes beyond "the call of duty," tipping is the correct way to show your appreciation.
