Huston, Carlson and Roberts took
over. Inside of a minute and one
half they accounted for five
buckets, to put OSU in front, 55-
44. But they weren't finished.
Michigan Fights Back
Michigan came fighting back to
close the gap, 63-58, with 8:40 to
go, but Huston, Carlson and Ro-
berts ended the threat by scoring
seven quick, points, making the
score, 70-61.

Roberts was the real surprise of
the night. He came off the bench
for Howard with an unimpressive
season record of 20 baskets in 73
attempts for a meager 27.4 per
cent. At the foul line he had only
notched 14 of 50 attempts.
But last night he was on, scoring
four baskets in seven shots and
hitting six for six at the foul line
for 14 points.
Torrid at Foul Line
The whole Buckeye team was
torrid at the foul line, hitting 33
of 44 attempts. From the field,
they were equally as hot, scoring
on 26 of 58 shots.
In contrast, Michigan hit 29 of
92 from the field and 18 of 24
from the foul line.
The Michigan story was tied up
in two men, Burton, who was high
man for the night with 27 points,
and Pete Tillotson with 26.
Burton was sensational. Besides
scoring 27, holding Howard to two
points and causing him to foul
out, he pulled" down 21 rebounds.
He got his points ,on eight field
goals and 11 of 11 from the foul
line.
Tillotson counted 12 baskets on
25 shots.
Build Up Lead
Michigan started the game as if
they were out to take their fifth
Conference win and tie Indiana for
second place. They built up a 14-9
lead in the first five minutes
mainly through the work of guard
