Center To Hold New York Tour Niagara Falls and Buffalo, New York, will be the points of inter- est in the June 16 through June 18 international, student tour be- ing planned by the International, Center. The group, which will travel by train, will leave early June 16 and return late at night June 18. The tour is open to all interna- tional students, including those with limited entry visas, Helen Tjotis of the Center said. Home hospitality will be pro- vided by the University Alumni Association in Buffalo. Interested students may see Miss Tjotis in Rm. 18 of the Cen- ter for further information or reservations. Service Section To Ask Donations From Women The League's Community Serv- ice Committee is sponsoring a book drive June 1 through 7. All women's dormitories and sororities will hiave a box and poster where students can donate their books. "We are planning a book drive because of a letter received from Barbara Humphrey, '57, a high school teacher in Vermontville, Sandra Frieswick, '60Ed., chair- man of the committee, said. In the letter, Miss Humphrey asked if the League could help her obtain extra reading material for her students who have access to nothing but their textbooks, Miss Frieswick said. "We don't stop to realize how fortunate we are to have such complete libraries," Miss Fries- wick added, "while so many small communities are in despair over the lack of books." Besides collecting books, the committee is also asking students to contribute any fine arts prints and records that they will no longer be using. The laboratory department for music literature is also being asked to dorlate any records that they no longer need. The books will be picked up at noon on June 7 and stored at the League until next fall when the committee will send them to needy communities, primarily in Michigan. -Daily-Ian MacNiven READING FOR THE UNFORTUNATE-A University coed pre- views the upcoming League book drive by donating her unneeded books early.
