Duey, director of the Men's Glee Club, commenting on their recent. appearance on Pat Boone's tele- vision program. "He ways so ' easy-going, so natural and likeable," Prof, Duey commented. "The whole show and the people working on the show reflected Pat's temperament." The University Men's Glee Club returned Saturday from a guest appearance on Boone's television show in New York. The members of the club 'rehearsed for about four and a half hours Tuesday, five hours Wednesday and all day Thursday, Prof. Duey said. He said that the club members were all greatly impressed with the time and work it takes to broadcast and with the confusion from all sides up to show time. The club was asked to send the music that they knew, and Boone was worked into the music used for the opening number. The club arrangement of "In the Still of the Night" was used and the dan- cers worked into this song. The songs by the club were re- corded prior to show time. These were played during the show, Prof. Duey said, and Boone was the only one who "had a mike on him." Prof. Duey added that the club was pleased with its work, al- though some people were disap- pointed that members of the club couldn't be seen individually.
