THE MICHIGAN DAILY Competition To Feature Maize, Blue By SUE ROBINSON It's Magnemaize versus Blue- topia during Frosh weekend, May 9 and 10. With only a little more than a week left, both teams are busily making their final preparations. "In keeping with our theme, Magnemaize, we are planning several skits during the noon hour," Maxine Appel, '61, publicity chairman for the Maize team, said. Signs which have appeared all over campus as advertising for the Maize team have kept students guessing. They state: "Are you easily attracted? Or totally re- pelled? Don't fighit it ! It's Magne- maize ! The central cointittee for the Blue team launched their ticket campaign Thursday with a May Day dance. Mr. Msbloo, the team's character, a short, fat, little man with blonde hair was introduced Friday. Monday, "Blue Monday" that is, there will be another skit on the diag and team members will natu- rally dress in blue at that time. "Everyone has so much enthusi- asm and all our plans are coming along beautifully," Mary Kay Of- fice, '61, the Blue team's general chairman, said. Tickets for both teams will be on sale until next weekend. Tickets for the Maize team's dance May 9 may be purchased on the Diagonal, at the undergraduate library, the Frieze building and the League. Tickets for the Blue team's dance the following night will be sold at the diag, League and the Hill. )AILY C' ASSIFI PETS AND SUPPLIES GLEE CLUB-The 99-year-old University of Michigan Men's Glee Club will give its annual Spring Concert on Saturday. The Glee Club, completely stu- dent-operated, has been organized, administered and maintained by its own members since its found- ing in 1859. Officers are chosen by petition and majority vote of the club near the end of each academic year. All matters which concert the group as a whole are voted on by the members of the club. Between semesters this year the club traveled to Cincinnati, Rochester, St. Louis, and Kansas City, Kan.
