THE MICHIGAN DAILY HOLLAND HIGH SCHOOL: Faculty Discusses Decision (Continued from Page 1) )_ The criteria for NCA approval are devised by all of the member institutions. A school which wishes to be accredited must subscribe to these. Schools in the state of Michigan are accredited by two agencies, NCA and the University. At this time Holland is accredited by the' University, but a University ac- crediting team will visit the school for its yearly check on Feb. 25, according to Kent W. Leach of the school of education, and director of the Bureau of School services. On Feb. 24 members of the board will meet with the board of trustees and other interested parties to hear basic attitudes of the Holland group. On Feb. 25, a team of University professors will visit the school, at- tending classes and writing re- ports. The criteria for University ac- creditation are similar to those of NCA. Besides preparation for college, high schools in the state must provide for: 1) Pupil participation and growth in shop and home-making, and where possible opportunities in art, crafts, music, journalism and speech, 2) vocational subjects, 3) expansion of curriculum, 4) health education and physical edu- cation, 5) extracurricular activ- ities, 6) laboratory science. Paradise Lost Co-eds living in Shealy Hall at Purdue University have been ordered to display "little or no emotion" when kissing a date goodnight. Under a "new college social order," Shealy women were told to limit their kisses to one, and make it as short as possible. The order, issued by dorm resident head Miss Valerie Heavey, also included a recom- mendation to replace the good- night kiss with a handshake. m 2 Continuous Week Nights t". ,I youp yOur tc -CROW [..
