Presidential duties include chair- ing Executive Council and Board of Delegate meetings and acting as an ex-officio member on Stu- dent Government and Women's League Councils. Vice-President is responsible for the internal organization of activi- - ties, calendars events with League, Assembly and SGC presidents and files a budget. Responsibilities of Panhel Sec- ond Vice-President include special projects and filing of the Panhel budget., The secretary serves as recorder and handles Panhel correspon- dence. Panhel expenditures and revenues are supervised by the Panhel treasurer Rushing chairman is responsible for rushing rules and presides at meetings of sorority house rushing chairmen. Chairman of Rushing Counselors is in charge of the counselor's training program and sorority transfer relations. Public Relations Chairman han- dles publications, scholarships and elections. GREEK WEEK: Four Freshmen Billed By NNC Ys lAIL L 4 The Greek Week spotlight will shine on the Four Freshmen dur- ing their concert at 8 p.m. Mon- day, March 17,: at Hill Aud. Block ticket orders must be re- turned by 5:30p.m. today to the Inter-Fraternity Council office, Student Activities Building. The tickets may be picked up between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and on March 17 at Hill Aud. Proceeds to Scholarship All proceeds from the concert will be used for the new IFC scholarship. The Four Freshmen will blend their voices to songs from five albums, including their latest al- bum, Four Freshmen and Five Saxes. Some album "hits" to be sung are "Day by Day," "Stormy Weather," "Granada," "Gradua- tion Day," "Blue World," "Poinci- ana," "Angel Eyes," and "Char- maine." Group Began in 1948 The Four Freshmen began at Jordan Conservatory of Music in Indianapolis in 1948. Brothers Ross and Don Barbour, their cousin, Bob Flanigan, and Ken Albers, who joined the Freshmen in April 1956 to replace Ken Errair, have built their "sound" and musical integrity on a firm base. Doubling as their own accom- panists, the Four Freshmen have presented concerts from coast to coast, appeared on network tele- vision and in motion pictures. The Four Freshmen, winners ,of Metronome, Downbeat, United Press, Billboard, and Playboy read- ers and critics polls, feature in- strumental work in addition to their vocal interpretations. Pete Rugalo and Dick Reynolds arrange the majority of the music for the quartet.' League To Sponsor Dance Classes; Tango, Rumba, Basic Steps Offered FOUR FRESHMEN ....to sing here March 17 Union Hosts Varied Events A carnival, jazz concert, car- toons, and dancing will highlight this evening's Union Week activi- ties which will be, held in the Union from 8pm. until midnight. A jazz concert, on the main floor concourse, will begin at 8 p.m. A carnival will be held from 8:30 to 11 p.m. on the third floor. Featured will be a kissing booth, African dart throwing, a water pistol shooting gallery, beach games and a caricaturist. During the evening a Gerald McBoing Boing, cartoon and two Mr. McGoo pictures will be shown continuously in Rms. R and S of the Union. Finalists in the Liar's Contest will compete during the intermis- sion of "Union Madness," a dance which will be held from 9 "pm. until midnight in the Ballroom. Saturday Michigan will play Michigan State in a bowling tour- nament to be held in the Union bowling alleys. Carl Roberts, '61, won the Union Week Speech Contest Wednesday evening. Second place went to Ian Davidson, Grad., and third to Sherwood Augur, Grad. The speeches had to be extem- poraneous and non-humorous. Baha'i Schedules Religious Panels Judaism and Christianity will be the topics of the discussion, the second' in a series of four- pro- grams on World Relations, to be presented at 4 p.m. Sunday in Lane Hall basement.. The program's are sponsored by the Baha'i Student Group. The discussion leader on Juda- ism will be Herman Jacobs, of the Hillel Foundation and member of the Board of Religious Counselors. Harold Duerksen, program direc- tor of Student Religious Activities at Lane Hall, will lead the discus- sion on Christianity. Life Magazine film strips will be shown.
