_ _ _ _._ ... _ _ .. _ ..,s.. . .3'L UTIIJJA U.J11, ESR r Latin-American Dictatorships Losing Strength the fireplace stil lurns... or may we offer a minority opinion? The great, frenetic rush is on! It's text-book time at the University and the "campus Moloch" must be served. The great books, the dreams and visions of writers and rebels, the magnificent volumes of art and wisdom, and even the merely pleasant books which beguile and enter- tain have all been put away. III ll Except at Bob Marshall's . . Here the approach is otherwise. . and unique. Because of our approach to bookselling and because of our very spacious store our huge and wonderful stock of general books has not been displaced. Still on the scene are com- fortable chairs scattered throughout our store and in front of our constantly-burning fireplace. And while we will be busier than usual during textbook time-for we will sell some texts too-the atmosphere continues to be relaxed, quiet, conducive to browsing, and we trust even contributive to thinking. I So our minority opinion is this . . Relax, take it easy, don't get panicked. Look around a bit, take your time. Appraise carefully not only the as- signed texts, but also the suggested reading lists, the collateral books, and the marvelous paperbound titles which augment and supplement, which implement and expand. The required text is just that, a required book. But the "open sesame" to the world of knowledge, to excitement and creativity, is in the whole wonderful world of books . . . not merely in a basic text. And all this should mean at least one trip to Bob Mar- sh'all's now, and many, many joyous browsing sessions here within the next few weeks. We claim that browsing at Bob Marshall's is an essential and integral part of your expending university experience. This is a legiti- mate claim now-during text-book time-and always. You will not be pressured here. Even during the "rush" I you will not be PROCESSED at Bob Marshall's. You will be helped, served, and conceivably even challenged. Our full-time, professional staff of "real book people" are at yourservice . . . but automatically you will be let alone that you might look around if that is your pleas- ure. The moral of course .. . all advertisements have a moral is to come to Bob Marshall's now .. . and then come again and again.
