Lectures, movies and meetings are planned to give information and knowledge about Scandina- vian countries and their culture to people from other countries. Another aim of the club, as stated in its Constitution, is to serve as a meeting place for all University Scandinavian students.. Public Meeting Planned A meeting open to the public will be held in March. Movies of Scandinavian countries will be shown and the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions about life there. The constitution provides that the members should decide each year whether or not they want to be associated with the Interna- tional Student Association for that year. The group, which contains 26, students, has voted against being affiliated this year, says Roar Haug, Norwegian student who was instrumental in forming the club and is now its president. Non- "andinavIans May Join Stud nts who are not citizens of a Scandinavian country may be- come members of the club by ap- plication, Haug says. The board of the society considers the re- quest and makes recommenda-, tions to the group, which makes the final decision by voting. Other officers of the organiza- tion are Pirko Lathinen, secre- tary; and Juhni ,Koivula, treasur-' er; both from Finland. One of the pilot projects of the Scandinavian Club was sponsor- ing a -display during the Interna- tional Fair. I _ _ t I' FOR RENT MALE STUDENT wanted to share apt. with two others.
