The scholarships provide for the payment of 300 German marks per month and round trip passage from New York to Germany. The payments begin Nov. 1 and are to be used for study In any field at a West German college or uni- versity. Tuition and a modest stipend for maintenance are given in the Free University of Berlin's two awards.* Prospective teachers of German are eligible for the two $1500 awards of the Germanistic So- ciety of America.
