PAGE TWO THE MICHIGAN DAILY THURSDA'Y', RV Y'T. 1957 PAGE TWO THE MICHIGAN DAILY THURSDAY. FEBRUARY 7. 1OJ~Y I G&S TO Plan Play Today Being betrothed at the age of two may not be a practical idea' but it does provide a delightful plot for the forthcoming Gilbert and Sullivan society production, "Princess Ida." A mass organizational meeting for this production will be held at 8:00 p.m. today in the League. Tryout meetings and committees will be organized at this time. The Gilbert and Sullivan society will present Princess Ida on March 14, 15, and 16 at the Lydia Mendels- sohn theatre. The operetta is the tale of a princess who retreats from all men and locks herself in Castle Ada- mant, a school where the villiany of men is taught. However, her secluded life is complicated by her early bethothal to young Prince Hilarion, who now at the age of 21 is determined to claim his bride.
