Aro Garo Paul was appointed professor of pharmacognosy in the College of Pharmacy. He is cur- rently with Butler University. Richard Osborn of Oak Ridge, Tenn., was named associate pro- fessor of nuclear engineering in the College of Engineering for two years beginning next fall. He has been in charge of the reactor theory course at the Oak Ridge School of Reactor Technology for the past two years. Two appointments were made to the faculty of the College of Liter- ature, Science and the Arts. Inis Claude, Jr., was named as- sociate professor of political sci- ence beginning next fall. Prof. Claude, whose special fields are international relations and foreign policy, is currently with the Uni- versity of Delaware. Appointed assistant professor of political science for a three- year term beginning this fall was Harold Jacobson. He has special interest in the field of internation- al relations and comparative gov- ernment, and has been with the University of Houston since 1955. Author To Lecture On Period Fiction Author Elizabeth Howard will lecture on "The Problems and Challenges of Writing Period Fic- tion," at 4:15 p.m. tomorrow in Rackham Lecture Hall.
