Two grants are being offered by the newly created Alumni Student Leader Fellowship in an exchange program with the University of Oxford by SGC. Eligible applicants "must be ac- ceptable to the University of Michigan Graduate school and have shown leadership in some phase of student activities," ac- cording to Anne Woodard, '57, SGC National and International Affairs Committee chairman. The fellowship will pay all ex- penses except transportation and will grant the equivalent of $1,600 for each student during his year's study, Miss Woodard said. Petitions may be obtained in Rm. 2017 Student Activities Bldg. POSTAL HISTORY IMPORTANT: City Stamp Club To Hold Exhibit Today i A postal history will be on dis- play between noon and 10 p.m. today in the Hussey Room of the League. Sponsored by the Ann Arbor Stamp Club, the display consists of exhibits prepared by various members of the club. "It is not the value of stamps but the value of such things as the postal history that is impor- tant," according to Frank White- house of the bacteriology depart- ment, secretary of the club. The exhibit is divided into three categories - postal history, col- lection by country and topical. Purpose of the postal division is to acquaint viewers with postal systems of various countries. Po- litical ties, such P those which existed during the old German empire, are also displayed, White- house noted. I -Daily-Norm Jacobs POSTAL DISPLAY-A letter from Hong Kong to the USS Mono- cachy anchored at Shanghai 19 days before the outbreak of the Spanish-American War is a sample of today's stamp display at UNION THEATER TRIP "MY FAIR LADY"' Starring: BRIAN AHERNE and ANN RODGERS MARCH 26 and APRIL 2 $5.25 includes transportation to Detroit Tickets on sale at: UNION STUDENT OFFICES Monday thru Friday 2-5 P.M. the Hussey Room of the League. "Envelopes from the Boxer Re- bellion, the Herero Revolution of southwest Africa in 1904 and World War I demonstrate the ex- tent of the German empire during this period," he explained. United States, Canada and Greece will be represented in the country category, while pictures of ships on stamps will be stressed in the topical department. "Most of the envelopes were discovered by the members in their attics or were obtained from junk collectors," according to Prof. Peter Smith of the chemis- try department, a member of the stamp club. "I bought some of mine from a collector in Chicago," Smith re- marked. "The price I paid was for the value of the stamp and not its historical value." Musket Posts Recently selected to fill the posts of 1957 MUSKET Assistant Gen- eral Chairman are Sandi Sol, '58, and Jane Holben, '58. Miss Sol will be in charge of show production, including music, choreography, direction, and selecting material. Miss Holben will be chairman of the business operations, handling programs and promotion.
