Name Address -------------- ---------------~ ROBERT T in the Full-length production in COLOR of INTRIGUteE Produced, Written oand Directed by YSHELDON REYNOLDS I I I t THE MOST STARTLINE SPY-HUNT EVER FILMED JUMB BURGER Americans are too individualistic in their attitude toward foreign policy, Prof. William Muehl said yesterday. S eaking on the subject "Is There an American Way in Foreign Policy," Prof. Muehl of the Yale Divinity School and graduate of the University Law School looked to the insights of Christian faith as a means of dealing with foreign policy. "In the United States we still try to see ourselves in terms of frontier and trapper individual- ism," Prof. Muehl asserted. He noted that the impact of our "cul- tural myths" is clearly evident in our mass media. "We are seeking to interpret social phenomena in terms of the good guys and bad guys." The American people want to solve all their social problems by finding a "good guy~" a "lone ranger" or a "private eye," whom they believe will solve everything. Prof. Muehl pointed out four er- roneous ways in which American people deal with politics. "First, we attempt to deal with politics in in- dividualistic terms," he stated. Pakistan Students- Sponsor 'Awara' The Indian film "Awara" shown last Thursday and Friday was sponsored by the Pakistani Stu- dents Club according to Andy Chaudhry, president of the Inter- national Students Association. Second, people want a moralistic analysis of a 'non-moral' subject when they "demand a clear picture of foreign policy." Further, Ameri- can people join "artificial groups," and pretend they can analyze world problems in terms of "a small community." Third, the American people fear dissolution of power, ignoring the fact that power is a result of complexities and does not rise out of individual-1 ism. Finally, "we substitute love for justice. We should offer the Asia- tice justice first and then love," he added.
