Perhaps you do not knov how,' but would like to learn. The op- portunity once again presents it- self through the League dance classes. -Jan O'Brien, dance class chair- man, has scheduled a mass meet- ing at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in the League Ballroom. All coeds and University men interested in the classes may attend. This year instruction for the classes will be provided by Josef Eder. He has previously instructed in Europe. Eder will instruct students in beginning, intermediate, advanced and exhibition dancing, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 16 and Wednesday, Oct. 17. The League sponsors two courses each semester for couples, in addi- tion to two for stags and also an exhibition class. Beginning singles will be taught at 7 p.m. every Tuesday and Wed- nesday and intermediate classes will be held at 8:30 p.m. the same evening. The lessons will last for eight weeks. Steps to such well-known dances as the fox trot, waltz, polka, jitter-bug and charleston will be taught by Eder. There will also be lessons on such Latin American numbers as the rhumba, tango and mambo. At its weekly board meeting, the Assembly Association Board an- nounced that an associate mem- bership program has been set up. The aim of associate member-, ship is to provide a closer link between those women living off campus and those living in the residence halls. Under this program, women will be able to participate in the activi- ties of the residence halls upon the payment of house dues. They will have big sisters, and will be en- couraged to take part in the house functions such as the dances, spe- cial dinners, teas, and homecoming projects. Associate Members Associate members will be wel- come to have meals at the resi- dence halls and spend weekends there in order to see what dormi- tory life is like. Assembly hopes that through this program more women will be- come familiar with the workings of the residence halls, gain new friends, and feel more a part of the University campus. Associate membership does not, mean that by accepting member- ship in a particular house, the woman is signing up to live in that house later on, nor that she will be entering a residence hall sooner. Membership Available Any woman in off campus hous- ing who was unable to attend the meeting last Monday at the League and is interested in this program may leave her name at the League Undergraduate Office. She will then be notified of her ,assigned house. . .1-----I1 OUR SHIPMENT " of $4q9' Bicycles Complete with pump, kickstand, and toolbag There will be fun for all Satur- day, Oct. 6, when the "Bermuda Bounce" is presented from 9 p.m. to midnight in the League Ball- room.
