New members are Barbara Bar- clay, Margaret Bearssy, Jacquelyn Bresnahan, Barbara Brien, Emmie Lou Dias, Betty Fries, Anne James, Barbara Kliss, Judy Lahde, Sylvia Mayers, Leah Steel and Margaret Warren.c Manager of Michifish, Marion Charvat, remdrked that tryouts who did not make the club are encouraged to come to the junior Michifish meetings at 8:15 p.m. Wednesdays. Tryout slips with scores will be handed back at the meetings. Yule Party be sung by the following staff members: Kathleen Mead, Betty Boulet, Barbara Snoek, Sarah Grollman, Alice Russell, Jane Hen- dricks, Gaston Sigur and Robert Schuiteman. The singing' will be accompanied by Marguerite Ran- dall and directed by Prof. Davis and Janice Miller. Carol Singing The rest of the entertainers, di- rected by Mrs. Miller and accom- panied by James Wilkes of Eng- land, will also sing carols. Everyone attending the party is asked to bring an inexpensive gift which will be placed under the tree. Students will be decorating the tree tomorrow afternoon. Santa Claus will distribute the presents later in the evening and will also have gifts for the children attending. Punch, fruit cake and Christmas cookies will be served to everyone. Clifford Miller will conduct nov- elty group games and small prizes will be awarded to the winners. The remainder of the evening will be spent in dancing to records, and the party will end at midnight with the singing of "Silent Night." U' Students To Serenade With Carols Many parties are being planned by campus organizations before students leave for the Christmas vacation. Members of Alpha Sigma Phi are having a caroling party to- day, as are those of Alpha Tau Omega. The latter will be hosts to Alpha Delta Pi, and will serve refreshments at the chapter house afterwards. Delta Chi members will enter- tain guests from Martha Cook af- ter their caroling party. Mem- bers of both groups may bring dates to the party. Helen Newberry Residence will serve hot chocolate and donuts to their guests from Gomberg House after caroling, while Kelsey House will be hosts to coeds from Klein- stueck House. Assistant to the dean of men, William Zerman, will be a guest at the Delta Kappa Epsilon party for members and their dates. Broadway plays are in full bloom with "Cat on A Hot Tin Roof" heading the list of dramatic performances. This show, starring Barbara Bel Geddes, won the Pulitzer prize for 1955. Musicals such as "Fanny, "Com- edy in Music" and "Damm Yan- kees" will be available to the pub- lic. Rodgers and Hammerstein's new show, "Pipe Dream," will also appear on Broadway at this time. For those who enjoy comedy, "Bus Stop," "No Time For Ser- geants" and "The Matchmaker" are the comedy hits of the season. The "Diary of Ann Frank," star- ring Susan Strasberg will be thrilling audiences with its wonder and anguish. Followers of Shakespearean plays will have a chance to see "Measure for Measure" which the Columbia players will present at Columbia University. The fifth annual Chanukah fes- tival for Israel will be held at Madison Square Garden on Mon- day, Dec. 19. Artists who will appear in person are Louis Cal- hern, Edward G. Robinson and Kim Hunter.
