The student, a graduate in busi- ness administration, was unable to pay a hospital Fill of $1,850 this summer. Receiving treatments at the University Hospital for one month, the student was shocked to find that his bill came to such a large sum. Unable to pay the full amount he received what little he could from the International Students Association emergency fund and borrowed the remainder from the University. $850 Remains At present $850 still remains to be paid. The Hospital agreed to receive blood at $15 a pint to help pay the debt by the Christmas deadline. B. V. Govindaraj, graduate stu- dent from Madras, India, is hand- ling all the arrangements for blood donations. "Every international student should consider this problem as one of his own," Govindaraj said. "It will set a precedent for such help in the future to foreign stu- dents and will set an example for other organizations to follow. He asserted that this fanancial assistance should prove that for- eign students try to take care of themselves. Six students have already con- tributed, one an American. Any person under 18 years of age must provide written permis- sion from his parents in order to donate. Donations can be made at the Blood Center at the University Hospital between 9-11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 4 o'clock from Monday through Friday; 7-9 p.m. on Tues- day and Thursday; 8-11:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 1-4 o'clock on Sun- day.
