An all-student production from set building to directing, the op- eretta will be the Society's 14th presentation. The cast includes Arnulf Erster- er, Grad., as Fred, Lynn Tannel as Mabel, Marian Mercer, '57, as Ruth, Bob Cotton '58, as the pi- rate king and Bob Brandzell, '57, major general. One of Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular works, "Pirates of Penzance" is a musical satire about a band of soft-hearted pirates and a former pirate apprentice who wants to exterminate them. Tickets for the Wednesday and Thursday performances are 60 and 80 cents. Week-end performances are 90 cents and $1.20. Tickets are on sale at the Lydia Mendelssohn box office in the League. In addition to the Ann Arbor performances, "Penzance" will be presented in Bay City on Nov. 26 and in Detroit's Rackham Audi- torium on Nov. 27.
