Tickets for the performances are free and will be available from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. be- ginning today at the pool. DONNA HOFFMAN has written a narration for the water show. One of the numbers will feature the record "Biaha." It will present a drummer on the high diving board with three swimmers in black suits trimmed in silver and silver bands on their arms and legs in a worshipful searching. The theme of another num- bet is "Tawny." It will be a light and graceful performance featuring five women in yellow suits and yellow glittering caps. The first performance of the wa- ter show will take place at the formal dedication of the new pool at 2 p.m. Saturday. Because at- tendance at this ceremony is by special invitation only, the water show is being repeated for en- tire campus. * * * MASTER of ceremonies for the dedication will be President Har- lan H. Hatcher, who will intro- duce the speakers on the program. Regent Vera Baits will be the main speaker, followed by an address by Prof. Herbert 0. (Fritz) Crisler, Chairman of the Board in Control of Intercolle- giate Athletics. Women's alumnae representa- tive, Mrs. Florence Lafer, will in- troduce Mrs. Lola Hanavan, chair- man of the Alumnae Committee of the pool. Mrs. Hanavan will un- veil a portrait of Dr. Margaret Bell, head of the Women's Physi- cal Education Department. DEAN DEBORAH Bacon, Dr. Bell; and Sue Riggs, president of the League will also speak. Miss Marion Swanson, representative of the Women's Athletic Association will introduce the Michifish wa- tpr show. An informal receiving line will be on the second floor lobby of the pool building after the ded- ication. Physical education alumnae and past WAA presidents have been invited to attend a buffet supper at 5:30 p.m. in the Women's Ath- letic Building and a splash party at 7:30 p.m. at the pool at the completion of the ceremonies. GREEK WEEK HIGHLIGHT: IFC Ball To Be Top Event W ANTY & REULE DOWNTOWN'-- 210 SOUTH MAIN STREET One of the main attractions dur- ing the annual Greek Week, IFC Ball will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, May 7, in the League Ballroom. Open to affiliated men and their dates, the formal dance will fea- ture the music of Fred Dale and his orchestra. Dale is at present filling engagements in the Chicago area. Central committee members for the annual dance were announced recently, after the completion of petitioning and interviewing. General chairman for the formal affair is Ken Rice. Among his as- sistants are Mike Gale, who is plannh4g decorations and pro- grams chairman Jay Kaufman. Also on the central committee are Bob Weinbaum and Bob Dom- browski, who are arranging for booths and band, respectively. University and State Street will be officially christened "Michigras Square" at I ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Friday. General co-chairmen Hal Ab- rams and Gretchen Meier will be on hand to dedicate the boulevard. The new sign will remain on the land until after Michigras, which will take place Friday and Satur- day, April 23 and 24. A SONG written especially for Michigras by Paul McDonough, student-orchestra leader, will be sung publicly for the first time. A recording has been made of the number and the song will be played on the Burton Tower Chimes next week. A previous carnival song, "Come to the Michigras" was patterned after a Mardi Gras song. To keep the crowd in a carnival mood, the Phi Gamma Delta Marching Band will play for the occasion. A PREVIEW of the Michigras carnival will be rendered by mem- bers of Kappa Kappa Gamma who will present some of their num- bers which will be featured at the "K-Xi Kafe" at Yost Field House. Following the ceremony, the band will lead the spectators to a local drinking establishment where a day will be held in their honor. To avoid waiting in lines at the fieldhouse to purchase tickets, beneral admission tickets will be sold at the dedication. Tickets may also be purchased from ! a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Mon- day, April 19 through Friday, April 23 in the front of the Un- ion, Mason Hall, on the Diagonal and at the Engine Arch.
