Dancing in the Union Ballroom to the music of Fred Netting and his orchestra, the cadets will at- tend the dance in full dress uni- form. COEDS ARE asked not to wear corsages. Only the wives of unit commanders and the dates of ca- det commanders and committee members will display flowers. Many guests, including mili- tary dignitaries and general of- ficers, have been invited to at- tend the annual dance. Among the guests present in the line will be the three ROTC unit commanders and their wives. Col- onel William L. Todd, professor of air science and tactics, is air force commander; Captain Charles A. Bond, professor of naval science, navy and Colonel Virgil R. Miller, professor of military science and tactics, army. ALSO PRESENT in the receiving line will be the three cadet com- manders of the ROTC. In keeping with the military atmosphere of the dance, ca- dets posted at the foot of the stairs and in th ecorridor leading to the ballroom will salute offi- cers as they arrive. The ten ca- dets will also collect tickets. Tickets, priced at $3 per couple, are available this week at the Tem- porary Class Building and at North Hall. Complete with confetti, hats and noise makers, the dance will fea- ture the music of Jim Service and his orchestra, NOT CONTENT to "bring in" the New Year just once, the law- yers will celebrate midnight in Hong Kong at 10 p.m. At 11 p.m. a gong will announce midnight in Moscow and at midnight the men and their dates will welcome the New Year to Ann Arbor. Dancing will be featured in the dining room of the club. A crepe paper false ceiling in bright col- ors and crepe paper balls and streamers will add a festive at- mosphere. DRESSY DRESSES and heels will be appropriate for coeds at- tending the dance, while the law- yers will wear suits. Open to members of the Law- yers' Club tickets for the dance are now on sale for $1.75 per couple. They will also be sold at the door for $2.50 per couple. Women's Judic According to the League Con- stitution, petitioning will re- open tomorrow for a vacant po- sition on the Women's Judiciary Council. The position is open to juniors only. Petitions are due at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Undergraduate Office of the League; interviews will be held Monday, March 29.
