The tournament, sponsored by the Women's Athletic Association, opens Saturday with subsequent matches scheduled on Saturdays. Pairings will be announced later in the week. A reorganizational meeting of the co-rec badminton club will be Wednesday, Feb. 17, Manager Marg Smith stated. She said, how- ever, that the club will regularly meet on Tuesdays this semester. Lobby for one week beginning next Monday. Winning pictures will be sub- mitted for chance publication in a national photography maga- zine and will also be entered in a Big Ten photography contest. This contest, which has no con- nection with the proposed Nation- al College Union Photo Contest formulated by the local Union, will be held the first part of March at Indiana University. IT IS A graphic arts contest and will be judged only on the quality of the print and its composition and not according to specific cate- gories. The final number of entries in the local contest was estimated at well over two hundred. Drawing over one-hundred prints, the cam- pus and community scenes division turned out to be the most popular category. Views of the Michigan Union were most frequently found in this section, followed by the Burton Tower 'and scenes taken in the "Arb." In the extra-curricular division, pictures ranged from sport scenes to children and airplanes. According to committee mem- bers, the judges were impressed with the quantity and quality of the pictures entered. Will Address Local AAUW Pembroke Official To Talk to 'U' Coeds, Guests Thursday Night Miss Nancy Duke Lewis, dean of Pembroke College, Brown Univer- sity, will address members at a dinner meeting of the American Association of University Women at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. An- drew's Episcopal Church. AAUW members within a 50 mile radius of Ann Arbor will also at- tend the dinner. DEAN LEWIS, who is chairman of the national AAUW Education Committee, took over her present post at Pembroke in 1950. She joined the Pembroke faculty in 1943 and in less than a year was named assistant to Dean Margaret S. Morriss. Upon Miss Morriss' retire- ment, Miss Lewis was appointed fifth dean of the college.. Previous to her work on the Pembroke campus, she served six years as counselor with special duties in academic advising at the Women's College of the Univer- sity of North Carolina. * * * MRS. H. P. WAGNER is in charge of the program for Dean Lewis' Ann Arbor visit, and co- chairmen of the dinner are Mrs. R. J. Blackhall and Mrs. Joseph Price. Decorations will be handled by Mrs. G. G.
