PAGE TWO THE MICHIGAN DAILY SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 1953 Eq Atom Blast To Highlight Opera MONDAY 8 P.M. Department of Speech Presents ELIZABETH THE QUEEN By MAXWELL ANDERSON $1.20- 90c - 60c Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre Two atomic blasts on stage will highlight "Up 'N' Atom," the 1953 Union Opera playing locally from Dec. 9 through Dec. 11. As yet, Opera officials haven't decided how to do it without le- thal effects to the theater, audi- ence or campus. According to gen- eral secretary Dick Fiegel, '55 the Opera will do its best to insure against total annhilation of the local area. IN PREPARATION for the event, Fiegel yesterday announced that individualmail orders will be taken for tickets starting Tues- day. A bomb blast on the stage will probably entail many problems, he commented. In the first place, "How do we know we'll have a stage left after the first explo- sion? The script calls of a sec- ond blast a while later," Fiegel said.
