Varied Activities Set
For 'U' Alumni Program

theater parties, concerts and an
all-class dance will highlight the
University's 15th annual Alumni
~'program beginning June 8.

awards for graduate study.abroad

Part of the educational ex-
change activities of the Depart-
ment of State, the awards will
give almost 1,000 American citi-
zens the opportunity to study
abroad during the 1954-55 aca-
demic year.

An all-class banquet is scheduled
for June 11 to begin class reunion
festivities.
The University Golf Course will
be open to golf fans and for thea-
ter-goers among the alumni, the
Drama Season will present "The
Hasty Heart," by John Patrick.
Prof. William D. Revelli, director
of the University Band, will con-
duct the commencement band in
the traditional alumni sing and
band concert to be held June 12.
Climaxing Class reunion activi-
ties, the 109th Commencement ex-
ercises for nearly 3,000 graduating
seniors will be held Saturday, June
13 at the Stadium.

Retreats Set
Lane Hall will serve as the cen-
ter for religious and recreational
activities for summer students.
Featured among the regular
summer projects will be a series
of intercultural retreats.
The Rev. J. Fraser McLusky,
Minister of East Church, Broughty
Ferry, Scotland, will be a featured
speaker at the center. Rev. Mc-
Lusky has had considerable exper-
ience in working among students
and service men.
Awarded the Military Cross dur-
ing the war, Rev. McLusky has
written a book describing the
fighting in France and was Scot-
tish secretary of the Student Chris-
tian Movement.
