Admission to the concert is 50 cents a person, and tickets are on sale at the main desk in the Union. The concert is "stag" or "drag." The Ann Arbor Alley Cats- and the Jim Tatum Combo, featuring Ed Ravenscroft on the drums, will present the program, which is the 1953 version of "Bash," given last year. For those on campus who like "dixie" and "bop," there will be two hours of this type of music on the program, which will be emceed by( Don Herman, gr'ad. Herman will also give a short history of each number. The Alley Cats have been noted on campus for several years. Bob Leopold, '52, was originator of the Alley Cats, and led the group for three years. His successor is Dick Mottern, who took over the organization after Leopold graduated. They have had a spot as en.ter- tainers at the student-run "Little Club" in the Union, as' well as playing for cantpus jam sessions and dances. Two members received distinc- tion by appearing on the Arthur ' Godfrey Talent Show while play- ing in another jazz combo. The group will- feature all the favorite jazz tunes that have made the band a popular group on cam- pus. Jim Tatum's Combo will provide the bop side of the concert, play- ing some of Tatum's own compo- sitions. Ravenscroft, 56A, was the winner of this year's Gulantics Revue, as, a solo drummer. He drummed his 4 way to first place and $100 in com- petition with ten musical and dancing acts. To Hartland Women's Glee Club, Arts Chorale Invited To Sing for Festival The Women's Glee Club and Arts Chorale will travel to Hart- land today to present a joint con- cert at the Hartland Music Hall.
