With New Women's Clothing Fashions

Coeds looking for the right pair
of shoes for their new spring out-
fit will find that lo'cal stores carry
a wide variety of styles which will
harmonize with new fashions.
Biggest news is patent leather
in bright black, blue or red, often
flecked with white.

STORES ARE showing a navy
patent shoe dotted with white but-
tons which will look well with a
new Spring suit. Seen from the
front it is a pump; from the back
it appears to be a sandal.
Also in stock is an open shoe
designed in strips and triangles
of navy patent and brightened
with white nailheads.
The new "Spanish String" style
is featured in a patent evening
sandal flecked with white. The
shoe comes in black, navy and red.
TO GO WITH the new beige and
olive-green fashions manufactur-
ers are showing matching shoes of
aniline leather.
Aniline is a clear-finish which
reveals the natural varaiations
and wrinkles of calfskin and
brings out its real beauty.
Among shoes with this finish
are a bronze-green sharp-toed
pump seamed down the middle,
and a copper-brown shoe with
white trim.

IN ADDITION, designers have
turned out shoes which will har-
monize with the light colors used
in clothes this Spring.
Shoes in light green and soft
shadings of beige, pink and yel-
low will go well with the new
prints that are now being shown.
Especially made to go with the
beige family, is a beige suede pump
on a photographic reproduction of
a stacked leather heel.
SHOES, TOO, are carrying out
the slim shape present in this sea-
son's styles. Biggest news is the
castanet or jigger heel featured
in shoes which have pointed heels
and toes plus T straps and thong
effects.
Spring clothes this year are
emphasizing contrasting tex-
tures and smooth weaves having
a light graceful look.
In accordance with this, local
stores are stocking a blue suede
pump with a mudguard of match-
ing calf. A calfskin sandal spiked
with faille is also- being shown.
ONE manufacturer is showing
a white evening sandal lined in
pink. This style may also be ob-
tained in the reverse combination.
Because of the new emphasis

on lightness, new shoes are be- ion mesh shoes may be obtained in
ing constructed of softer mater- simple classic styles or with a de-

shoes which are not only light in white mesh, with white or match-
weight but light in looks also. New ing kid accents. Others have mesh
