PAGE TWO THE MICHIGAN DAILY WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11, 1953 ______________________ Discussion Of .Danish Press Set "The Danish Press' will be the subject of a talk by Danish writer and speaker Johannes Laursen at an informal meeting of journalism department students and faculty at 3 p.m. today in Rm. 1443 Ma- son Hall. Laursen has been connected with the Danish Information Office in New York since 1950. After graduation from the Uni- versity of Copenhagen, Laursen served with the Danish Commerce and Social Affairs Departments. He is co-author of a book on the Danish government and civil ad- ministration and worked for three years on a Copenhagen newspaper as their economic and political writer. Under the sponsorship of the American-Scandinavian Founda- tion, Laursen toured the United States in 1950 to study govern- ment information programs on the state as well as the federal level. The meeting is open to the public and will be followed by a discussion period.
