Center Holds WeeklyTeas "Tea for two hundred" is the theme song of the International Center's teas which are held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today and every Thursday. The weekly social hour is pre- sented so that the foreign stu- dents on campus can become ac- quainted with one another as well as with the American students. Studies are forgotten at the in- formal gathering and conversation is - lively over the tea cups and cookies. Often prominent educators and leaders from other countries are among the guests that drop in at the International Center Tea. Re- cently the dean of Terhan Univer- sity and the head of music at Istanbul were feted. City Police Halt Antics Of 'Big Bums' The five student "Big Bums" made an appearance at noon yes- terday in front of the Union to sell tickets for Bowery Ball but their good intentions were foiled when city police arrived. Dressed in the finest dime store hand-painted ties, the bums at- tempted to convince passers-by that they should attend the com- ing out party for University "bums" from 9 to midnight on Saturday in the Union ballroom. Fully equipped with empty beer bottles and a fire to toast their tootsies, the sloppy five converted the Union front entrance into a tramp camp. The bums dropped the beer bottles to get attention but the broken glass and odiferous fire brought city police on the spot to stop the bums from completely destroying the Union. The infamous five were sentenc- ed to 30 days in the Washtenaw county jail on charges of vagrancy, disturbing the peace, destroying public property and selling tickets without a vendor's permit.
